“Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness. The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.” (Psalm 145:7-9 NLT)
As we focus on the above verses, if you need to take a moment to re-read them again, please do. Linger on any words that the Holy Spirit points out to you as you take it all in. Throughout all Scripture, we see the Lord demonstrate His compassion and mercy to so many of the lost. And yet, He yearns to do so always. He waits for all of His lost creation to find Him once again. He waits for them to see how desperately they need Him. As He waits, He showers love, compassion, grace and mercy over each and everyone one of us. At the end of the verse it says, “The LORD is good to everyone.” Woah! What conviction that brings me as I read it. If the Lord is good to those who love Him and to those who despise Him, how much more should I be kind and loving to those in my life? In what simple ways can we reach out and show love to others today? Give a warm smile to strangers as you shop in a grocery store. Read that book one more time with your child who wants to be held a little longer. Mail a note with verses to a friend who needs some extra encouragement this week. Send a text to an old friend you haven’t heard from in months. Aren’t all of these ways we can be compassionate and loving to others? I don’t know about you, but I want to walk out loving others well, like Jesus did, in every aspect of my life. Father God, please remind us to love others just as you love each one of us. - Johanna

I can still remember the days when I am struggling to have a beautiful life. It will be a great mission. We should not be discouraged by the things that are happening in the world because we know that life is precious and we only have one life. Let us live to the fullest and we must not waste a moment. Every second counts so let us be responsible with our decisions. We should not doubt the things that the Lord can do.
