“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6: 25, ESV)
My brain swam this morning as my daughter pointed to the laptop. “Mom, it's frozen up, and nothing works.” I snapped a little. The car wasn't working smoothly, and our finances had drained considerably in the last month. I felt vulnerable and afraid one more thing would break. But here's the thing. Just when we needed it, God had brought just the right income for our household. In a dire time, He had closed some cleaning job opportunities while opening up a much better situation for me to be able to stay home with the kids and make even better money with much less effort. I was blown away by His goodness and care. What I needed came rolling in while I hosted guests in the Air B&B downstairs, meeting people, cozying up the house, and being hospitable—all of which are my favorites. Sisters, we don't need to worry. The Father knows every single thing we need, and He is our advocate. He sees. He knows. And when He comes through in large and small ways, He deserves honor, praise, and trust. Today, I can fret about the car or I can thank Jesus profusely for His care made more than evident. I think I shall choose the latter. Join me? -Sara

Thank you Sara, for this reminder. Our car is 16 years old and on her 'last leg' so to speak. Last night after Bible study at our church we climbed into the car, my husband turned the key and it started up quite smoothly...at least that's what we thought. Right about the time I commented about how well she started up a man from our study group walked over, bent down to look in the window and said,"You know you're going to have to get that fixed soon."
