I am so excited to introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers - Marva from SunSPARKLEShine! Marva and I discovered we have the same love for finding sparkle in the every day and were instant friends. She is passionate and full of wisdom and I know you'll love what she has to share today! <3 We each have a deep longing inside of us that we spend a lifetime trying to fulfill. There’s no question that we are all on a path somewhere. What baffles us is where we are heading. We question if our life has meaning and if we’re on the path God destined for us. The reality is, that we have endless options and opportunities available to us. With every idea that comes to mind we can go online and find a how-to video to make us an expert. And so we jump from one idea, one hobby, and from one purpose to another. All the while being distracted from the real purpose God has in store for us. The truth is, it’s hard to know which direction to take when our life path has endless forks in the road. So how then do we know which way to turn to fulfill our God-given purpose? First of all, we must start by remembering who we serve. 1. Our God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. " {Acts 17:24-25} Our God is Lord over all and maker of everything that the mind can ever dream or imagine. God is the source of all life and He is the giver of purpose. 2. Our God Has A Plan From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. {Acts 17:26} The Creator of the very universe is the same God who determines our steps and gives us purpose. He has marked out a specific time in history and a specific place for you to live and experience Him. None of this is by coincidence. Everything that happens in our lives has been ordained, orchestrated or allowed by the Great I Am. You see, this amazing God who made the entire universe designed everything in such a way, in this time and place, for one very specific reason: for us to seek Him. 3. When We Seek We Will Find God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. {Acts 17:27} God ordered everything in this world so that we would seek Him. Everything that happens in my life, both good and bad, has been done so that I can seek God and reach out to Him. So when it comes to purpose, we don’t have to look far at all. If you’re searching for direction in your life, go to God for the answers. Not sure which way to turn? God will show you the way. Wondering if you’re on the right track? God will let you know. Thinking you might be taking on too much? That too He will make clear. You see, God has already set you up for success. You need not worry yourself with trying to do it all. God is willing to give you the clarity you need to accomplish His will during your lifetime. You just need to ask Him. Let’s stop trying to do it all and have it all. Instead, let us turn to God for guidance. Ask Him to show you your specific role and purpose and what you need to accomplish each day. When you turn to Him, He will not let you down. So when searching for purpose, start with God. After all, everything starts and ends with Him. And with God as our guide, we will never go wrong. I love Marva and I love the perspective she's shared here. Ultimately, we all want to "know" our purpose and it's comforting to know that our heavenly Father has a plan (and a purpose) for us. How wonderful!
