I am so excited to introduce Ruthie to you. {My first ever guest on the blog!} She is a veteran Mom, full of wisdom and humor, and I look up to her - a lot! She has recently wrote a book for young Moms on how to control that Mommy anger that creeps up on us, out of nowhere. You know what I'm talking about, right? So, grab a yummy drink and sit down and soak in the great truths Ruthie has to share with us younger Moms! <3
If you're a Mommy struggling with anger to your kids {even just a little, teeny, tiny bit} then you will want to read this!
Planning for disaster--or diffusion? Do you ever get the feeling your schedule is constantly being sabotaged by your tribe?
You know the scenario – you’re running late, the baby poops, the “others kids” take advantage of your distraction to write on walls in red ink or start a fight.
The scene escalates, and before you know it, your frustration levels are at an all-time high and you resort to SCREAMING!!!
Everyone’s mood turns sour, some cry, some brood, you set off for your destination in the car, guns loaded for anyone ready to display even an inkling of attitude and you
…feel awful the rest of the day.
Is this what we really want?  Granted, schedules do sometimes get interrupted due to factors beyond our control; however, there’s a key word called “planning” that goes a long way toward diffusing stressful situations.

Christ planned for temptation

We read of Jesus’ temptation in Matthew 4.  He did not just run headlong into that willy-nilly without preparation!
1.)  The temptation happened after Christ’s baptism and confirmation  (Mt. 3:16-17).
2.)  The temptation was planned: “Then Jesus was lead up by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil:  (Mt. 4:1)
3.)  Jesus had just fasted 40 days in preparation for this test (vs 2).
4.)  But because He fasted for so long, He was hungry, and therefore, vulnerable.
5.)  The first thing the Tempter did was target Christ’s weakness (hunger) by commanding the stones to be turned into bread (vs3).
6.)  Christ refuted him with Scripture each time, which not only gave Christ power to resist, but also fortified His faith in God (vs.4).
If you're a Mommy struggling with anger to your kids {even just a little, teeny, tiny bit} then you will want to read this!
Our plan for temptation
1.)  Commit to make a change for God’s glory.
2.)  Expect God to allow temptation in your life (see James 1:2-4)
3.)  Be prepared for these tests just as Christ was, by spending time with Him (even if it’s a little) each day through prayer and the Word.
4.)  Realize you will be more vulnerable at certain times. (Example:  when you’re hungry, late, sick, or just plain tired and overwhelmed.)
5.)  Be on guard for the Enemy to target that weakness.
6.)  Be ready with Scripture to refute him!

*Scripture Pillar

Wisdom PUTS LIGHT in the eyes, and GIVES GENTLENESS to words and manners.  Ecclesiastes 8:1b, The Message

Wisdom is knowledge in action; knowing the right thing to do and then doing it.  Gentleness to words and manners is quite the opposite of what we’re feeling in the heat of the moment.
Keep praying for wisdom.  Start making a list of ways you can control your schedule in order to avoid anger.

God’s Word is the key, my dear mama friend.  It is our sharp Sword and our necessary defense in this battle with temper!  Take advantage of this gift of God, and wield your sword wisely and frequently!

Dear mom, you have just enough time to do the will of God today. ~ RearReleaseRegroup.com

Although God's Word is our most powerful tool against the Enemy, it takes more than just a few tips to curb anger, doesn't it?  The preceding devotional is just a snippet of a brand new book on mommy anger.  It's called,
COUNT TO NINE;  9 Liberating Steps for Mommy Anger and Frustration.
If you're a Mommy struggling with anger to your kids {even just a little, teeny, tiny bit} then you will want to read this!
I wrote this book because as a mom of four myself, I dealt with a LOT of anger down through the rearing years, and I struggled to handle it well.

As I seek to mentor younger moms, I notice this same pattern emerging.
A battle with anger-induced rage.  And these moms want change.

My new  ebook,
Count to Nine, 9 Liberating Steps for Mom Anger and Frustration, presents nine essential steps to overcome mishandled anger.

Offering *Scripture Pillars, Power-Packed Pillar Prayers, a Plan of Action for each chapter, and much more, this book will set you on the road towards recovery.   The book is full of key Biblical strategies to help you parent gracefully and learn the Biblical approach to anger.

How do I know?  I teach this method to a group of moms who are tracking wins and overcoming anger by daily implementing these Scriptural strategies!

This ebook is a small investment to make toward a big difference in the dynamic of your family.  Are you ready to take the necessary steps to freedom from the power of anger gone wrong?

You can do this, mom. Let me show you how through COUNT TO NINE.  At just $7.00, this ebook is an affordable investment toward not only developing positive reactions to anger, but patterning them for your children as well!

How about it, mom?  Are you planning to diffuse stress?
I’m praying for you!
